for sure... i love it even though its been two years and im still not a general but the badges, ribbons, and metals are awesome and it takes so long that you can tell someone style by their profile._________________ "an armed society is a polite society" Robert Heinlein |

| I think having a prolonged ranking system kept more people in the game. There's actually a reason to play this multiplayer for 3 years because of the incentive unlike other MPs. I like Warhawk's art style and hopefully their new engine doesn't completely change the look of the universe. _________________ ACHILLEES |

| “The MS3 trailer will be shown off at GDC next week. It looks amazing, by the way. As for Starhawk, what we’ve seen, Starwars has little on it. It looks intense and epic. We thought it was MS3 here at the tilt, but since have been shown new footage of Starhawk and we are about 80% positive it’s Starhawk now. The trailer we’ve seen has a central planet where a battle is taking place, a black ship with red boosters lifts off and jumps into space, one movement and animation , and engauges in a dogfight with a massive fleet of other ships. Way more than 32, believe me. More like 100, but don’t quote me on the exact number. One ship lands on the deck of a larger battleship thing and a guy jumps out. He has a laser rifle. He shoots out a node on the side of the ship. Ship starts rocking. At this time a massive amount of other ships storm the larger battle ship and start hitting it in sweeps. Guy jumps off the ship’s landing and rocket boost away as the ship explodes.” For those that want proof of Lightbox being at GDC, here it is: Josh Sutphin, Lead Game Designer at LightBox Interactive http://twitter.com/invicticide/status/10188247519 "Today is a great day: http://unity3d.com/unity/coming-soon/unity-3 (Looking forward to meeting these dudes at GDC!)" | I don't think it's necessarily a public video. What I'd really like to know, is where you got this info. And I think MS stands for Motor Storm. _________________ ACHILLEES |

| They're talking about Motorstorm 3, MS3 not MGS3. That's the OTHER rumored sequel everyone was speculating about. | Quote: | | I find it funny that people complain so much about rank advancement on Warhawk. That's one thing I love about WH and hate about MW2, you rank up WAY too quick in MW2. MW3 HAS to stretch out the ranking, it should take about year to reach Prestige. That and a REAL clan system, just two things would make a great game even better._________________ "Ezekiel 25:17- ...And I will strike down upon thee with GREAT VENGENCE and FURIOUS ANGER, those who ATTEMPT to POISON and DESTROY my brothers! | If it took 1 yr to go from level 1 to 70, then it would take eleven years to get to done with 10th. _________________ ACHILLEES |

| I read the same thing but it was on a gaming blog not the forums. I just can't find the link now. This is from another site. http://gamer.blorge.com/2010/03/02/warkhawk-dev-drop-hints-about-starhawk-comments-on-ps3-memory/| Quote: | Fans of Warkhawk will jump for joy as the developers behind the popular aerial dog-fighting game are making some progress on their next game. The next title has been speculated to be a space faring game called Starhawk.
Dylan Jobe recently twitted [via Examiner] that progress on the next big title by LightBox Interactive is going well. The rumored title, Starhawk has been under wraps and has not been officially announced yet.
He tweeted:
We deliver another milestone to SONY today. Very happy with the progress. So many systems coming into place — w00t!
*GONG* Milestone is delivered to SONY — Always so impressed with the work our LightBox Interactive team cranks out!
Jobe also commented on the recent move by Sony in freeing up an additional 70MB of XDR ram.
He tweeted:
That memory makes a big difference — all the teams working on PS3 love it when SONY opens more RAM.
I’m curious as to how this game is shaping up. It is speculated to come with a full blown single player story unlike Warkhawk. Interestingly enough It was unintentionally revealed that Starhawk would have a single player campaign via a job description a while back. It would be neat if the developers did a throw back to Wing Commander. |

| Quote: | As we mentioned earlier in the year the team behind PS3 exclusive Warhawk are hard at work on a new project, thought to its sequel, Warhawk is probably my favourite game of all time. Around the same time these rumours leaked Sony trademarked ‘Starhawk’ so it probably doesn’t take a genius to work out that is the project which the new team at Lightbox Interactive are working on. I’m an avid follower on Twitter of Dylan Jobe the Studio Director over at Lightbox and am forever in hope that he’ll make a schoolboy error and let something slip, but unfortunately for me he hasn’t slipped up yet releasing any details at all on the project.
What he has said throughout this early development process is that he’s been meeting regular deadlines for milestone builds to present to Sony’s Santa Monica studios, but last night the team appear to have reached a key point in ‘Starhawks’ early development as he Tweeted “Getting my thoughts in order for next week — Another milestone. It’s really great to see it take shape! But I think the most exciting thing is that we’re going to be starting our focused, internal playtests very soon!! I call them “Hate-Sessions”. It’s when everyone in the studio plays the game and gets to bash on the stuff they don’t like, and we only say the stuff we don’t like. I don’t care about what we’re doing well, only about fixing the bad systems or interactions. I know it may seem odd and overly simple but it works for us.”
Although there’s not too much substantial to go on, I’m practically the most excited person in the world for any news whatsoever on the sequel and am pleased to hear it reach a stage where they can internally play it – rip it to pieces and improve on what they’ve done so far. Once this phase is out the way I’m hoping they let a screenie or even a movie leak and then on to closed beta testing where I hope my ridiculous amount of hours spent in Warhawk don’t go unnoticed, please! |

| yeah i sure hope that they base the next game bases your next game's character that represents you to be based on your hours on WH rather than your falsely achieved rank through stat padding, flag tossing so forth and so on. That was the appeal to wh for me until i realized that stat padding, flag tossing and all other forms of cheating were going on, sadder thing is MW2 is loaded with glitches that give up points unfairly. C'est la' vie...... _________________ Those of you lucky enough to have your lives, take them with you. However, leave the limbs you have lost. They belong to me now. |
