Amazingly after 2 years with the ps3.. it has hit.. the Yellow Ligh of Death.
in the middle of a game of Mw2 my ps3 shut off. when attempting to turn it on it blinked red a few times.. green then yellow,
ive searched ways of trying to fix it, but the methods are too crazy.
so i may have to either get a new ps3 or send this one to sony, again.

Damn man...hate to hear that. I believe you can have a computer tech repair it also...dont know what the price difference would be though.

i fell victim to the yellow death light last night. it was stormin and my power flashed and it wont come back on.
when i try to turn it on it beeps once turns green beeps three times turns yellow pauses for a sec then starts blinkin red. i have to hit the switch to turn it off.
wose part...MW2 IS TRAPPED INSIDE!!! so i can use the other ps3 but cant play mw2.
and worrior just bought it.

To get a the disc out turn the power off in the back of the PS3 then press the eject button and turn the power back on in the rear while holding the eject button. That should spit the disc out.

thanks but it didnt work. if i do what you said it does the same thing as if i try to turn it on

the exact same thing just happen to me... with MW2 trapped inside. bad enough RDR locks up my ps3 i get this shyt... Seem like i have to get a PS3 Slim

Ugh man I'm sorry - soooo many people I know right now are having issues with their old PS3's....

OMG i open up my PS3 and there was a mosquito on my cpu,gpu and thats what cause my YLOD........so gay anyways im almost done on fixing it

Lol..that's crazy. Are you doing this yourself? Do they have anything online for home remedies for YLOD?

yea they do Genx told me about it.... i did what they instruct but still got YLOD i think it might just be the Power supply..still stuck on what to do either send it in or get new one.

Wow. Glad I got my PS3 of the ground now.

It just seems like its inevitable with the Fats. It had me noid for too long, until I needed peace of mind and just got a slim.
