So u guys know it doesn't snow much or at all in Texas... especially as far south as Houston... HOWEVER tonight it is! and enough to make snowballs!! It's been super awesome.... they were even giving hay rides in my neighborhood... pulled by a tractor... which is hilarious and very Texan.

Anyway.... takes a texan to get this excited about a little snow....

That's cute, Muff gets excited over snow. I guess it goes both ways cause, I'VE NEVER SEEN A TUMBLEWEED IN MY LIFE!! Ever since I was a little boy I begged my parents to take me to Northern Mexico (Texas) to seen one in person.

It iced over a lil here, the night before last. A little snow in the southern and western part of the metroplex, like aggtown (Arlington)...but as for my area, nothing. Please believe I was on watch...for the highly coveted snow "work day".

This morning when I left out...I actually lost a lil traction when I went over some ice out the complex. Nothing major though.

Suppose to be 60s 70s this weekend though.

WORD!! When I lived in Charlotte and Raleigh, they closed down school and work over a light flurry! Being that show was very rare, they never had the equipment and salt to clean the streets, so monitarily it's just cheaper to close everything down rather to buy equipment that'll hardlt be used. Shit they used to close sometimes for heavy rain!!

Up here you gotta have a few inches and even then it's gotta stick and have icey precipitation on the roads before we get to stay home!

No type of rain is ever an excuse for cease of business/schools. Only iced up roads. Snow is managable...it snows or ices over a couple times of the year in North Texas. I hated it when I first moved up here. Nobody knows how to drive in it...so insurance agencies have claims out the ying yang. Best bet it to just stay off the road.

You just embarassed yourself. We handle the elements as well as anyone, hot or cold. But once it gets lower than 50, ya'll start complaining.

I personally highly dislike the cold.... but I liked the snow last night.... although I could only stand to be out there for like 5 minutes. I prefer the heat.

i am from dallas lived and lived in maryland, boulder CO, chicago and been to new york city and cape cod more times than i can count and i love cold weather but never really see it. i can drive in whatever snow ice no problem. but as far as other ppl in dallas they cant drive anyway no ice needed. it the heat i hate you sweat here for half the year not to mention that this past summer was the first that i had a car with working a/c. and oh yea rain in the northeast it rains for weeks it seems like but down here in texas we have thunderstorms that would make most yankees wet themselves.
