| ok ok ok now we're talkin'...... first of all twisted metal 2 and 3 were the best period(.) and the reason why we cannot play all three booster packs at the same time or any together at all is like jay said previously, the game's only alotted so much memory or RAM if you will that it can use at any one given time, hence only one booster pack at a time.... and all they had room for on the permanent memory was three more individual levels with one additional vehicle per level addition. I personally feel that they came up with all three possiblities in production and purposely held back to see the feasiblity about people actually purchasing additional content online for games and just how much we would be willing to buy... i mean if you told me that that game was going to eventually cost me 59.99 plus 7.99 plus 7.99 plus 7.99 i back then, in it's infantcy would have told psn to get bent that no game was worth that much i mean 60's bad enough as it were, but like any crack dealer will tell ya is give a lil bit even freebies to get em good and hooked and you gotta cusmer fo' life. me??? i'm just mainlining it from now on. unfortunately it's now an on going trend the sale of incomplete games(ie; soul calibre IV w/ darth vader and yoda crossovers and don't get me started on costumes, and star wars force unleashed additional players packs which back in the day was a nice surprise for the player that was free, no purchase neccessary other than the initial game purchase, remember star wars III revenge of the sith for ps2) it's a sad and money driven world this being said rest your wittle feors as far as warhawk sequals because money talks and bs walks. WH has made them alot of money and any momo who cannot see the money earning potential of a sequal should be fired from a CEO's perspective ya mean??? |

You'll have to excuse Muffin's vagina on this one Gamer, women never know what they wan't but they want everything.
GREAT POST Gamer! DLC is a HUGE issue in modern gaming with us all being connected to the net. Now we have the options to add characters, features and levels to most games that we play, extending our gaming enjoyment. But it is a double edged sword, there’s the good, bad an ugly! What Gamer alluded to with SCIV is the ugly, they have nickel and dimed us to death with things that should’ve been free or low-priced at least! ($19 f**king .99 for rehashed music from the OLD games?! With NO option to play your own music!!) Not to mention, they still haven’t given us as many of the features we actually want, so they potential of the games wasn’t maximized in the slightest. SO WHAT WAS THE POINT?! To line the pockets of the developers that’s what!! What the evil, greedy developers are started to do is actually REMOVE content from the game before it ships and then they make us pay for it later!! Sometimes they do it for a reasonable price or sometimes they overcharge you, either way it’s robbing the us gamers.
On the flipside you have Midnight Club and Burnout giving away GREAT DLC and most for FREE. They’ve done well with sales and don’t wanna rape our wallets. Why buy Need For Speed or Gran Turismo when MC:LA and Burnout is already hot and we get so much extra content for FREE? This is a shrewd way to sort of buy back brand loyalty from us gamers. This ensures that as long as the game is good and we know we're gonna get something extra, were longterm customers. Then in the middle we have WH and LBP that have good DLC which is reasonably priced.

Did they have these things in development already and purposely hold back??? I’m afraid Gamer may be right with this one. Again WH was originally designed as a single player campaign and then switched to online only late in development. Now think about when WH was fresh out the box, do you honestly think they'd release a single player game with JUST that amount of content??? NOT AL ALL!!! Now Incog saw this as an opportunity to make extra dough like all developers. While they didn’t go the SCIV route, it did end up costing us all $84 in total and most of us certainly would not have dropped that much dough for the game at once.
Which at the end of the day begs the question, was WH REALLY worth $84 after it’s been “maxed out” with all the booster packs??? I personally say no, not with how much content new shooters are shipping with. I think that the packs could’ve been priced more moderately at $4.99 a piece. Now some may say “well Almighty what’s the big deal $8 versus $5, stop being cheap?” Well the big deal is that when you have multiple packs, all that money adds up. $84 versus my theory of $75 saves you $9, which could’ve went to the purchase of an entire PSN game, a video rental or even DLC for another game. The second question is, was WH’s full potential realized??? Again I say no, while the packs were GREAT and added A LOT to the game, there’s still many features and content that gamers still want, that can still should’ve been added.
So IMO, were definitely owed a WH2, an updated game with ALL the current content along with all the left out. The DLC should be minimal and we shouldn’t have to pay for so much shit all over again. |

| Wishful thinking....but as with anything else. This is a business.
Madden has been doing this for years. Except, they would take away options from years ago, and bring them back years later, and pub it up. The sad thing is, people were happy and pleased for it to be back...when in naturality it should've already been in the game.
Similiar to Psychological warfare ...same thing can be contributed to gas. Years ago...people snubbed their nose up at gas over $1.50...then what happened, after 911...things went out of control...and gas went up drastically. Gradually, all the way through last year. $3.99 a gallon...in TEXAS!? In the words of Jim Mora Sr...."You kiddin me??!" So as gas started dropping...as election time reached conincidentally, after the country was already hulled out...people started getting happy....and relieved. $3.30...relief...$3.00, folks felt more relieved. $2.80...the streets were buzzing. Happy, but everyone began gasing up, in fear that it may go back up, the next day. $2.50....people are in disbelief. $2.00, people are reminiscent of "back in the day"...(just a couple of years ago,BTW)....which goes all the way down to $1.50...everyone is elated, ecstatic, and relieved...b/c now they have extra money to pay other past due bills, lol. Now it's @ $1.75. And everyone is pleased..but concerned if it will keep going up. But...years ago...."people snubbed their nose up at gas over $1.50." - Psychological warfare .
Same thing goes on in business..and even the gaming industry. This is why Incog, EA, and all the other gaming brands..do what they do. It is what it is...it's a business. Needs of most business > well-being of the customer. Been like that since the beginning of times.

Of course I understand that, thats why I gave examples of the best, worst and accepted ways to do DLC. I think Incog didn't do bad at all, but I think we ned a true sequel. |

| There's rumors that an announcement will be made of a sequel at the end of this month, or within the next month. I hope this is true, and not just pure speculation. ~Goodz~ _________________ "That's exactly what you have... thanks, but no thanks.
