Come on now Good... MMA is totally a legit sport... I'll be the first to admit that allowing WWE knuckleheads looks really really bad HOWEVER... so does feeling the need to plaster your hands. |

Since when did a constant blood fest and arms/legs being broken from pressure points, become entertaining?
When it makes it to the Olympics, and schools/colleges adopt it...Holla at me. Until then, this isn't a sport....just purely glorified "entertainment."

Honestly, I tried to and just can’t get into MMA, cause it's just WAY too inconsistent for me. It’s way too much potshotting going on, it looks like half the time they don’t put a lot of power into their blows and grabs when they have the opportunity. Not to mention the knockouts, sometimes I see a dude lose off of three blows, then other times the ref lets them go in the exact same situation. THEN, they’re a new champ almost EVERY month! I understand they gotta have rules to keep dudes from getting killed or major bones broken. But that shows me that the way it’s structured, it’s just too random and they’re are way too many “lucky” knockouts.
Now I totally respect these guys, they’re martial artists and just as skilled as boxers in their respective disciplines. But boxing is a way more consistent and strategic sport for me, almost every time the better man is gonna come out the winner. That’s why we have what’re called “rubber matches” cause out of 3 fights, the better man ALWAYS comes out on top. Boxing just comes across more like anart as opposed to MMA sloppiness. It’s called the sweet science for a reason.
However I do persoanlly recognize it as a sport, but Good has a point. They haven’t adopted it as an Olympic sport YET (they’re talking about it). Even extreme sports have been made Olympic and rightly so. |

| Wrestling- Olympic sport Judo- Olympic sport Karate- Olympic sport Boxing- Olympic sport MMA- includes all of these "OLYMPIC" sports, plus more.... ps- golf is not an olympic sport... does that make is less of a sport... ping pong is an olympic sport... is that more of a sport????? im not rag'n on box'n,, but u gotta admit... 2 large guys hug'n for 12 rounds or 2 small guys wit no power for 12 rounds.. kinda MMA is more of a chest match... b/c at any moment at any sec,,, make the wrong move and its lights out.... knockout.chokeout.TAPOUT!!!! |
