well shit my ps3 has went into the craper and i have no idea as to why just did so it may be a while befor i am able to play again (already having withdraws) ill
see about getting it looked at but funds are tight right now so who knows so if im signed up for any battles replace me please for now yall have fun. update will prolly be a few weeks atleast befor im back because the only place that services ps3 is in larado tx and i have to wait for them to send me the box and everything so you guys and girls have fun ill keep up with the site news and all but wont be able to play

Well good luck ace.. I think my PS3 is close to doing the same. It has been having alot of network errors and its been freezing up alot. But for now, hope you get your PS3 fixed asap so I can own you again

i know the feeling of the ps3 death i have done the laredo texas BS twice now myself. Everytime i got sony to fix it for free out of warrenty even. First one i had a 60g launch model lasted 1 year 1 month and the blu-ray drive quit reading discs. The 2nd one was a 60g replacement from the problems with the first that lasted 8 months and then just one day wouldn't play gta4 without freezing so i called em up and had to send it in again. They gave me a lot of shit over this one saying i needed to pay cause i only get a 60 day warrenty with a refurbished. I had called rockstar first and they told me that sony knew what was wrong with the freezing and it was something wrong on their end. So that was what i used to argue with them to fix it and they did. So now i have a refurb 60g that i upgraded to a 250g 7200rpm hd and have had it over a year and had no problems until recently. About a month ago it overheated while i was playing warhawk. Never had that happen before. It has about 2 1/2 feet on all sides for breathing room so i just don't get it. It hasn't done it again yet. And finally a week ago i went to turn it on to play and it didn't even load up this message come up and said hard drive missing. I turned it off and turned it back on and it worked fine. I just don't get my luck. I dust it once a week don't leave it on when not in use and the ps3 itself doesn't even have a scratch on it. I just don't get it. I hope all you guys have had better luck then me. The turnaround time with laredo tx was 6days the first time and 8 the second time. I do have to give sony a lot of credit because when the second one had to be sent in i was not a very nice or happy customer. To everyone take my advice and BACK UP YOUR GAME SAVES. I was fortunate and never lost mine cuase i did back them up.

First i do mind damnit!!! LOL! It depends what model you have. The model i have has an sandisk slot so i bought a 1g card and manually copied all my save games from the save game directory by hitting triangle on the save you can select copy. Note not all games support copying an example of this is Rock band. If you have an external hard drive hooked to the ps3 you can go to the system settings and select back up hard disk. This method backs up EVERYTHING therefore it takes a lot and i mean a lot of memeory. Usually about 5 gigs less then what is actually being used on the ps3 so if the ps3 has 50 gigs being used then you would need at least a 45-50gig external hard drive. I prefer using the sandisk it takes 3 mins and your done. If you ever need to restore the copyied save just copy it from the sd card back to the save directory i hope this helps you but remember it all depends on the ps3 model you have 20 and 40gig models don't have the multimedia slots. I am not sure if all the newer models have them or not.
