I've been hoping for this, I never really played GOW II, cause I got rid of my PS2 by the time it dropped.

On a side note, I just don't get the big deal about backwards compatibility. I bought GOW II used later on and tried to play it on my '3 and it looked like absolute shit!! I returned it the next day. This is going to have a proper 16:9 upscaling and graphics and audio buff, fully marinated for curr-gen

The games will each have their own Platinum Trophy with a total of 72 trophies between the two. Very cool. I'm more hyped about these old games coming to PS3 than I am about any of the new ones LOL They were two of my faves on PS2.

yeah its fun... the graphics aren't really that much better but its awesome for me to get to replay them and earn trophies

The God of War 3 demo was awesome. Very cool new creatures and great graphics. I can't wait.

lol until i saw beachie's comments i was about to suggest ya'll change the name of the thread to the muffy and tone's debate however there's no denying that this games gonna be off the hook and why replay 1 and 2? most of ya'lls ps3's won't support backwards compatible games and it would just taint the next gen gaming..... unless you get drunk and enjoy a nostalgia nite every now and again. kinda like playing the 2600( for those of you old enough to remember)

Actually Gen, Muffin and I have private "debates" every weekend, where we get quite drunk. And Muff does UNSPEAKABLE things that would SHOCK the clan.




Sadly, I'm old enough to remeber the 2600, but my first system was an NES.
